Introduction : Efforts to prevent cervical cancer and increase the level of knowledge is to provide health education about early detection of cervical cancer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on early detection of cervical cancer on the level of knowledge in women of childbearing age 18 - 49 years in Nglaban Village. Methods : In this study using a pre-experimental research with the One group pre-post test design research approach was carried out 19-22 June 2019 in Nglaban Village. The study population was 1066 women of childbearing age 18-49 years. Samples were found as many as 322 respondents using cluster random sampling techniques. Data collection using a questionnaire. Statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test with ? = 0.05. Result : Based on the results of research from 322 respondents, almost all 278 respondents before being given health education had a low level of knowledge, and almost all 301 respondents had a good level of knowledge after being given health education. Wilcoxon test results at the level of knowledge obtained ?value 0,000? ? = 0.05 then Ha is accepted, so there is the effect of health education about early detection of cervical cancer on the level of knowledge in women of childbearing age 18 - 49 years in Nglaban Village. Conclusion : Through health education can increase knowledge about early detection of cervical cancer in women of childbearing age 18 - 49 years so that it can prevent cervical cancer by carrying out the IVA or Pap Smear.
