Intellectual intelligence only occounts for 20% for success, while 80% is another power factor such as emotional intelligence. School-age (age 10-12 years) are included in the laten stage, where at this stage the child is more direct attention to the socialization with peers who are potentially involved in the circle of bullying. One of the factors that influence emotional intelligence is parenting pattern. The purpose of this study was to indentify parenting patterns and to knowing whether or not there is a parenting pattern of parenting with emotional intelligence in SDN Mangundikaran III Nganjuk district Nganjuk regency. Method. The design of this research is correlation using cross sectional approach conducted on 10 june 2017. Population class IV-V as 53 people age 10-12 years. Sample of 48 students with purposive sampling technique proportional stratified random sampling. Independent variable is parenting pattern while the dependent variable is emotional intelligence. Measurement of these two variables using questionnaire and coefficient contingence test with α=0,05. Results. The result of the study of 48 respondents, most of the 30 respondents 62,5% of parents have the type of authoritative parenting, while most of thw 25 respondents 52,1% have a high emotional intelligence. There is relationship of parenting pattern of parents with emotional intelligence of school age children in SDN Mangundikaran III Nganjuk distric Nganjuk regency with ρ value= 0,003≤ α where Ha received. Conclusion. Parenting patters is associated with emostional intelligence of school-aged children in SDN Mangundikaran III Nganjuk distric Nganjuk regency. The provision of parenting that is evident can support the success of a child in the community.rnKeywords: Parenting, Emotional intelligence, School-aged rn
